Ok. So WWDC has just wrapped up, and Steve Jobs told us about the 3G Iphone most of us knew he was going to talk about. Anyway, if you are wondering when the 3G Iphone release date date, then before I tell you, here’s what the new 3g Iphone is like.

Now, first off, the 3G iPhone looks like having the same sort of features and stuff as the first generation iphone. But there’s a huge difference in terms of speed. You see, with the faster 3G network, and built in GPS support, the Iphone is going to be as fast as an Olympic runner on steriods. (Ok. Maybe not that fast, but you know I’m getting at! :))

Anyway, the features which were played around with at WWDC will probably become part of the Generation 1 iPhone with the release of the iPhone 2.0 June update.

The new model has a claimed battery life of 300 hours on standby, five hours of talktime, up to six hours of web browsing, seven hours of video, or 24 hours music playback.

Besides 3G, the other big news was built-in GPS, with a focus on mapping and navigation applications, as well as location-aware social networking. Don’t expect the batteries to last quite as long for these.

Now here’s the cool thing about the 3G Iphone. And that’s the price. You see, there’s going to be a choice of 8gig which costs only $199. And the 16gig which is selling for $299.

You know, it’s like close to half the price of the Iphone when it was first released!

Anyway, the 3G Iphone release date is set for July 11 in 22 countries.

If you haven’t got an Iphone yet, this is the perfect time to get on board.

As you probably know, reports are spreading about the Iphone being released on June 9.

But the biggest leak are the 3G Iphone photos you can see above from the greek site, Iphone Hellas. You see, from the pic, it looks as though Apple are offering 3 colors to choose from. These include the usual black, white and a darkish red one.

And if you look closely, you’ll see there’s a front camera too which is no doubt for video chatting. As for the camera at the back, it’s got a silver ring around it. Not sure what this is all about, but some of my spys say its for the “auto focus”.

Apart from that though, the Iphone looks pretty much like its predecessor.

Now, before you take these pics as Gospel, we aren;t ure whether these pics are fakes or not. If they are, then they’ve done a pretty good job.

As you know by now, Iphone 2.0 is just around the corner. Anyway, if you are planning on buying one, wait for a little while. You see, there’s some good things about the Iphone 2.0.

… Like the three-megapixel camera. video, WiMax (we hope), 3G, better bluetooth profiles and voice and speed dialing and stuff.

Anyway, the Guardian’s Charles Arthur wrote an article about what to expect from the Iphone 2.0.

If you’re like me, you probably take a few photos with your Iphone. But after a while, you realize it’s just not the same as a normal camera. You see, I only realized his when I went to take a couple of photos of myself. Now don’t ask me why I was doing it, but I did!

Anyway, if you have tried taking a photo of yourself, you know how impossible it is to try and click on the button on the screen. I I guess you gotta be a magician or something.

Now I’m sure if the tech dudes improved this feature, more of us would use the camera.

.. And take more and more photos.

But there are a team of geniouses who have improved on the camera features.

You see the dudes at Snapture have done something which gives heaps more funtions to the camera in the Iphone. You see, what they’ve done is added functions like zoom, time delay and more to really beef up the camera.

But the best one has to be the easy self photo. You see, instead of trying to find the sweet spot on the iphone, you just either click on the volume or anywhere on the screen. Is that cool or what!

Now, before you go out and get it, you must know it only works on jailbreaks. But I’m sure they’ll be working on one for the everyday iphone.

Ok. So you see the top pic. Well, this has been something I’ve been waiting for ages. And the reason why is because if you are always searching through Safari, there’s probably been a time when you just wished you could save a photo or something. (Now, if you want iphone music downloads, then you can find them here.)

Well, with the new iPhone “2.0″ firmware (v1.2.0), you can save a pic from Safari into your photo album.

You see, if you want to save a photo, all you got to do is a hold down your finger on the photo in Safari a little longer than you normally would.

… Then this is where the magic happens.

A dialogue box pops up like the one above. That means you get a chance to save the photo or go to the url!

Pretty cool huh!

The proprietor of two of house music’s best labels, Salted Music and Naked Music, San Francisco resident Migs is known for making dance music celebrities out of the people with whom he collaborates–most notably Blue Six and Lisa Shaw. For ‘07 album “Those Things,” the California hippie called on vocalist Shaw (among others), a saxophone, some bongos, heavy machinery, and a whole lot of soul.

Anyway, he is giving a download to a couple of cool sounding tracks. “So Far” has to be our favorite.

This has already been a stronger than average week for 3G iPhone rumors - but here’s a late entry that is getting lots of play.  Walt Mossberg - the Wall Street Journal tech columnist - has mentioned (in passing while discussing a different subject, but quite confidently) that the iPhone will be 3G in 60 days.

As 9to5Mac says …

As someone who regularly gets to test Apple products way ahead of the public, he would know!

If that old theory about smoke and fire holds any weight, you’ve gotta start thinking lately there’s an awful lot of smoke in this direction …

There’s news today of another survey amongst iPhone users, with a fair bit of not-very-shocking stuff - like iPhone users being very satisfied, think we’ve got that pretty much down now - but also some findings that seem pretty surprsing to me. Rubicon Consulting’s survey was done among a randomly selected group of 460 US iPhone users, and the full report can be seen HERE.

Here are some of the survey’s results that I don’t find very shocking:

• iPhone users are happy with it - 80% said they were satisfied
• The iPhone increases mobile browsing - more than 75% of users say it has led them to do more mobile browsing
• The iPhone increases phone bills - by an average of 24% per year apparently
• The ability to add 3rd party applications and better Exchange compatibility were the most requested features

Now, here’s some of the things that I do find very surprising, stuff I would not have expected based on my conversations and contact with other iPhone users (via this site and forums etc) …
